Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone is the first novel of the Harry Potter Series. First published by Bloomsbury in London. In the United States it was released as the "Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone" because they were concerned Americans weren't familiar with the term "Philosopher's Stone". The Harry Potter Series continued to the following years.


Harry Potter, the boy who lived, starts at the house of the Dursleys. He has lived in there for ten years. Soon, he found out letters and letters come for him, letters from no one. He finds out by Rubeus Hagrid thats he's a wizard, and soon attends this place he calls home, Hogwarts. Full of wizards and witches and all sorts. He soon became friends with Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. He figures out a person, the most darkest wizard of all time, Voldemort. This person, Voldemort, is the one who killed his parents.

Flim AdaptationEdit

Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone has been made into a movie in November 4, 2001 (UK)/ November 14, 2001 (US) . Like the book, it was retitled Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone, instead of the Philosopher's in the U.S.A. Harry Potter was played by Daniel Radcliffe, Hermione Granger by Emma Watson and Ronald Weasley by Rupert Grint. The movie was made by the Warner Bros.
